I flew to the Horn of Africa last weekend. Well, at least my palate did. I dined on the most delicious of Eritrean food, unearthed in the Inner Sunset district of SF. The cornucopia of treats were served on a platter, from which you could share unique Eritrean-spiced dishes: fragrant lentils, herbaceous split peas, spicy okra, creamy collard greens, and turmeric-spiced lamb. We scooped it all up with spongy Injera bread (which might I add is gluten-free), as you eat with your hands. The food sits atop the bread as well, so by the end it has soaked up all those divine flavors.  We washed it down with a bright citrusy beer. The platters can be switched up to be all-vegan or meat-plus-vegan, which is accommodating to all. Can’t wait to travel back and try more from the extensive menu!
