If after your morning coffee your day gets crazy and you realize you haven't had a thing AND it's 11 AM , why not a burger for breakfast? Also good timing for beating the crowd at Black Tap. It's just a counter, but your anticipation is amped up with pounding old school hip hop made even more pronounced by somebody turning the bass to 11. The guys controlling the overflow crowd at the front door and counter have a great vibe. The burger is very delicious. It's a bit of an uptick from Shake Shack, not so much in flavor as it's presented as a whole meal served with fries, pickle and tomato. They do it right and keep it simple – high quality beef cooked to perfection. I could've used one hit less of salt but that's the same at Shake Shack as well. While the french fries were heavily salted, too, that felt just right. For all the talk of fancy high-end burgers out there, these things will not change your life. But they will make your day.
