White Cheddar Spaetzle
Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen
Larimer Square, 1317 14th St, Denver, CO 80202
The Euclid Hall menu is chock-full of global tavern favorites including a bowl of "spaetzl-iciousness." The White Cheddar Spaetzle is listed as a side, but don't let that diminish its excellence. The tiny bits of spaetzle-goodness with their pan seared buttery-browned edges are particularly tasty covered in house-made cheddar cheese whiz.
Another tavern delicacy Euclid is dishing up is the Ultimate Sausage Tasting featuring ground, seasoned & cased in-house Bavarian-style links. I love the Beef Short Rib Kielbasa and the Cheddar Hopwurst made with Carr Valley curds, caramelized onion & Centennial hops.
Pair these sausages (and most of the menu) with any number of craft beers from their extensive tap list. The bottle list of beers gets even better by separating complexities of beer profiles using mathematical theories— this is inspired genius when it comes to helping the hop-loving laymen decipher the exponential universe of craft beer...
Arithmetic: Session beers, easy drinking, low alcohol
Algebra: Still approachable, more flavor, more complexity
Geometry: Broader styles, more aggressive, not too intimidating
Trigonometry: Moving up the ladder in complexity
Calculus: Pushing the envelope
Quantum Mechanics: Biggest, strongest, most complex
Dean's List: These are your really special rarities & barrel-aged beauties
To wet your whistle, Euclid rounds out their beverage menu with creative & delicious beer-cocktails, a nice selection of traditional cocktails and a well-rounded wine list.
