Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad

It’s a lotta burrata for one, but after a long work week – one where I barely had time to breathe, let alone savor a meal—I discovered the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad at this quiet wine bar tucked away in the Chelsea Market. Maybe it was the sheer fact that I could sit quietly and watch the world go by, but I was so happy with this sublime simple dish: burrata drizzled with rich balsamic vinegar, resting on a bed of arugula and the sweetest (and most petite) heirloom tomatoes. A side of electric green pesto added a dash of gratifying sass. I ordered a small baguette (replete with a delicious goat cheese butter) to soak it all up. This meal only got better with a pretty-in-pink rosé from Macari Wines, located on the North Fork of Long Island. I so loved this mini-meal that I'm not sure if I had a colleague or friend with me I would have shared a bite!
